Canonical Announces Ubuntu Server Training Course (24/03/2009 - 21:21:45 PM)

The success of the Ubuntu Training Program, combined with the growing popularity of Ubuntu Server Edition, led Canonical to announce a new course that exclusively focuses on the server edition. Called "Deploying Ubuntu in the Enterprise Environment," the training program lasts five days and addresses intermediate-to-advanced enterprise system administrators working with Ubuntu desktops and servers.

"Participants will acquire the skills they need to deploy, configure and maintain Ubuntu Server Edition within an enterprise infrastructure. As well as building skills for new Ubuntu Server deployments, it has been tailored to meet the needs of companies switching from UNIX, Red Hat and other Linux distributions." was stated in the official release announcement.

Moreover, Canonical will test an online version of the course that will last for two weeks starting Monday, the 4th of May 2009. The seats are limited and available with a special price from the Canonical store. Mark Shuttleworth, the founder of Ubuntu, will give an exclusive speech for the participants enrolling in the trial.

The standard, classroom-based training will begin in June 2009 and will be accessible through the Ubuntu Training Partners network. More information can be found on the Training website.
